So the other day I was talking to a friend and she was like, “Michele, have you ever made corn on the cob in the air fryer before.” I was like, “no, can you?”

She was like you have got to try it, you will never go back! So we tried it… We tried it again. Changed a few things and tried it again and let me tell you air fryer corn on the cob is perfect!

It is sweet and juicy on the inside with a pop when you bite into it. If you are thinking about purchasing an air fryer, corn on the cob in the air fryer might just be the reason you buy it! So so so good!

  • Corn on the cob 
  • Olive oil
  • Butter
  • Salt
  • Parsley if desired

How to cook corn on the cob in air fryer

Cooking corn on the cob in the air fryer is incredibly simple, just follow these steps to perfect corn on the cob! 

  • First, you will want to husk your corn. Be sure to try and get all the strings off of it. Once husked, rinse it really well in the water. 
  • Brush the corn on the cob with olive oil. 
  • Then, you will place the corn in the cob in the air fryer. You can place as many corn on the cobs in the basket that will fit without touching. 
  • Close the air fryer
  • Set the temperature to 400 degrees and set the timer for 8 minutes. 
  • Halfway through cooking, open the basket and flip the corn. 
  • Close the basket and continue cooking. 
  • Once the timer goes off, remove the corn with the tongs. It will be hot! 
  • Repeat this process until all your ears of corn are cooked. 
  • Then place a slice of butter on the corn and let it run all over. 
  • Add salt and parsley if desired. 
  • Serve hot! 

Cooking Tips and Tricks FAQ

  • Opt for thicker corn on the cob when buying corn. This ensures thick kernels. You also want to make sure that all your ears about the same time.
  • If you have a smaller air fryer you can cut the corn in half so it fits in your air fryer better. 
  • If you don’t want to use olive oil you can spray it with cooking spray. 
  • Get creative with your corn on the cob! Add chopped garlic, salt, pepper, and cilantro for a powerful new flavor!
  • My family loved the corn cooked at 8 minutes, but you can cook it a little bit more if you would like. It is really a personal preference. I would check it again at 10 minutes if you choose to cook it longer than 8 minutes.

Prep ahead of time

If you want to prep your corn on the cob ahead of time you will want to wrap the corn in foil or plastic wrap to keep fresh and place it in the fridge. It will last about 1-2 days. 

Storing

If you have leftover corn on the cob you will want to store it in the fridge in an airtight container. It will last 3-5 days in the fridge.

Reheating

If you want to reheat leftover corn on the cob in the air fryer you will want to cook it at 350 degrees for about 3-5 minutes. Be sure to flip halfway through.

    I’m always looking for ways to use my air fryer. This sounds way better than boiling it! I think this will be my normal way of cooking corn. And I have corn in my fridge as I type! Perfect timing.
