In our family, there are two things we love donuts (check out our apple cider donut recipe!), and our Air Fryer that’s why you can imagine that we are a huge fan of air fryer donuts! Can you make donuts in the air fryer?
Of course, you can make donuts in the air fryer! You can use a homemade dough recipe, but I prefer to make air fryer biscuit donuts. I do this because air fryer biscuit donuts are quick (no rising), easy (kids can help in the kitchen), and they taste delicious! To be honest I can’t tell the difference between donuts made from biscuits and ones made from scratch.
Do these taste like the donut shop donuts?
These easy air fryer donuts will not taste exactly like the donut shop. The reason being we are air frying them so they are not cooked in the oil normal donuts are cooked in, BUT they are pretty fantastic! I don’t mind feeding these air fryer biscuit donuts to my kids for breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner, and dessert if we are being honest because who can have too many donuts? Not me, and especially not my kids!

Tips Tricks and FAQs
- These are best served hot, so be sure to enjoy them right away.
- When you make the glaze for your donuts you want to ensure that it is not too thick. If it is breaking when you dip the donut you need to thin it out more.
- If you have the opposite problem and the glaze is running off, it is too thin, thicken it up with some powdered sugar.
- If you don’t want to dip your donuts you can pour the glaze onto the donuts. Place a piece of parchment on your cooling rack and place donuts on top and then pour on the glaze.
- Be sure to cook all the middles that you cut out! These make perfect donut holes and only take 3 minutes.
- Want to change the glaze flavor? Easy! Just add in 1 tsp of flavored jello mix.
- You can swap out the glaze for cinnamon and sugar if you prefer. Just dip in melted butter and then roll in cinnamon and sugar.
- Get creative in the kitchen with the kids! Add sprinkles!
