Air Fryer Shrimp

If shrimp is on the menu, you can bet that that’s what I’m going to order! Especially when it’s fried. Yum! So when I found this amazing air fryer shrimp recipe, I couldn’t wait to try it.

I was so impressed with how delicious this shrimp is! The air fryer takes all the work out of making fried shrimp without sacrificing that crispy fried feel that we all love.

My favorite way to serve these up is with a big Garden Salad and maybe even a side of lemon garlic butter sauce for dipping!

But you might end up eating them right out of the air fryer because this recipe is just that good!

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Make sure those shrimp are perfectly cleaned before cooking! No one wants shrimp that isn’t peeled or deveined properly. If you want to save time during preparation, you can clean your shrimp earlier that day and place them in an airtight container in the fridge until you are ready to cook!
  • Never deveined shrimp before? It’s easier than you might think. Just use a good knife to slice down the back of the shrimp and use either the knife or a toothpick under the center of the vein to pull it right out!
  • Don’t skip the preheating step! If you want your shrimp to have that “fried” texture, then you’ll want to make sure that the air fryer is nice and hot before adding them in. It just takes a few extra minutes but makes a huge difference.

Can I substitute frozen shrimp for fresh shrimp in the air fryer?

Absolutely! The air fryer will cook your frozen shrimp just as well as the fresh shrimp and you’ll save even more time!

To cook your frozen shrimp, follow the same recipe directions, but cook for 10 minutes instead of 5 minutes. You’ll end up with perfectly juicy shrimp that tastes fresh!

Storage

Fridge

If you have any leftovers, you can store them in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days. To keep the same great texture and flavor, you can pop them back in the air fryer for a couple minutes to crisp them back up.

Freezer

Did you know you can freeze cooked shrimp? Place them in a freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for 3-6 months.
