Christmas Reading Tradition – Countdown to Christmas
~This post contains affiliate links.
The Christmas season is made up of a wide variety of traditions. This year consider adding this meaningful tradition to your holiday season. Before December strikes, wrap up 24 Christmas storybooks, label them 1 through 24, and put them under your Christmas tree. Each evening in December, have your children unwrap that day’s book and read it as a family that night. Involve your older kids by having them read aloud to their younger siblings some evenings.
We’ve compiled a list of 41 Christmas storybooks that we think your family will enjoy. As mentioned previously, this tradition only requires 24 books, so with this list, you’ve got options! There really are no bounds to how you choose to start this tradition!
Links to purchase these books are included in the post, however, consider checking some out from your local library to make this a budget-friendly tradition.
This “Countdown to Christmas” tradition is bound to help your family remember the reason for the season while fostering family connection and a love for reading.
