But before we get to the recipe I have had a few questions lately about what is a smoothie bowl?

A smoothie bowl begins as a thick blend of delicious healthy ingredients such as frozen fruits, vegetables, oats, nuts, yogurt etc. These healthy ingredients are then blended together to form a colorful mouthwatering base that is then decorated with garnish. The garnish can be simple with a few nuts thrown on top or elaborate with all the fixings and looks like a culinary masterpiece.

Smoothie bowls are usually thicker than smoothies so that you can eat it with a spoon.
