This crumb cake parfait is the perfect holiday treat to share with friends and family as it combines Entenmann’s® Minis Cakes, no bake cream cheese filling, whipped cream, and a drizzle of caramel.

Crumble Cake Parfaits

I love a fun dessert during the holidays and these parfaits are always a special treat to make with the kids. They are creamy, require zero baking, are perfectly portioned, and fun to assemble with the kids.

We love to use Entenmann’s® Minis Crumb Cakes or Entenmann’s® Minis Pound Cakes to create this easy dessert. The best thing about it is they are easy to serve to a few people or to a crowd. They come individually wrapped for a fresh taste and look like you spent all day in the kitchen baking and creating!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounce cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ⅓ cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cup heavy whipped cream
  • 6 Entenmann’s® Minis (Crumb Cakes or Pound Cake is delicious!)

How To Make Crumb Cake Parfait

  • In a medium bowl, begin by mixing your cream cheese. Mix it in high with a hand mixer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Once creamy, pour in the powdered sugar and mix for several minutes. You want this mixture to be light and fluffy.
  • Add in the sour cream and vanilla. Mix to combine, but don’t over mix. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix 1 ½ cups of whipped cream and about 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and mix. Mix until soft peaks begin to form.
  • Take your whipped cream and fold it into your cream cheese mixture, just until combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to set.
  • Prior to assembling your parfaits, make your whipped cream.
  • Cut 1 Entenmann’s® Minis Crumb Cake or Pound Cake per parfait
  • Pull your cheesecake filling out of the fridge.

Assembling Parfaits

When assembling your parfait you will want to create a layering effect that is Entenmann’s® Minis, cheesecake filling, Entenmann’s® Minis, cheesecake filling, topped with a little bit of Entenmann’s® Minis. Then with whipped cream. Amounts vary depending on the size of your parfait glass.

  • Cut 1 Entenmann’s® Minis Crumb Cake or Pound Cake per parfait
  • Pull your cheesecake filling out of the fridge.
  • At the bottom of the parfait glass, add some of the Entenmann’s® Minis cake.
  • Top with cheesecake filling.
  • Add more Entenmann’s® Minis cake.
  • Layer with cheesecake filling.
  • Add a few pieces of Entenmann’s® Minis cakes.
  • Add whipping cream to the top.
  • Sprinkle Entenmann’s® Minis cake crumbs on the top.
  • Drizzle with caramel and enjoy.

Tips Tricks And FAQs

  • You will want to bring the cream cheese and the sour cream to room temperature prior to mixing. Set it out for at least 30 minutes. This will help prevent lumping and allow your cheesecake mixture to be smoother.
  • If you would like, you can omit the sour cream but the sour cream is what gives the mixture a creamy rich flavor.
  • You can add in layers of caramel in your parfait if you want more caramel flavor.

Make Ahead

You can make ahead the cheesecake mixture up to 2 days ahead of time. Be sure to store it in an airtight container.

Storage

These parfaits are best eaten right after assembling. If you store in the fridge the cake can become soggy.

Do I need to use Whipped Cream?

If you choose you can omit the whipped cream off the top or you can replace it with a whipped topping for a similar flavor.
