Unraveling

Do you ever feel like your day is literally unraveling? I have had many days like that as a mom. Sometimes you do what you have to do to survive!

Unraveling

Life UnEdited #18

Do you ever just have one of those days where you feel like everything is unraveling?  I have far too many to count, but today was just extra bad. Cameron would not entertain himself for 2 seconds and Mason was at my feet crying relentlessly.  Every single toy was dumped out of the bins and my house was trashed. Mason kept finding things to get into, and I was pooped…literally. At one point, I had picked Mason up and he had blown out.

Off I go to bathe him, and after I pull him out I go and get some clothes to dress him.  And guess what I come back to? A child unraveling an entire roll of toilet paper in my bathroom.  Who knows where Cameron was?

They also refused to eat anything I presented to them. Yogurt? No. Sausage and eggs? Nope. Burrito? Uhuh…the list could seriously go on for days!

I had totally had it for the day.  Those kids needed to take a nap so I could regroup.  But, guess what? I seriously could not get them down for the life of me. So, I surrendered!

My plan?

I buckled those kids into their car seats and drove to Burger King to get a burger and fries because I know my kids wouldn’t refuse that. Then I drove around for another 15 minutes to make sure they fell asleep.

All I can say is thank goodness for drive-thrus and fries!  They saved my day once again.
