How to Make this Healthy Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

With your busy mornings, you may not think you have time for a delicious healthy breakfast. But with a smoothie like this, you can have one ready in just a few minutes!

All you need to do is add your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. I like to blend once and then give my blender a good shake before blending again to make sure that I haven’t missed any chunks of fruit.

When your smoothie is blended well, pour into a cup and enjoy!

Tips and tricks for Healthy Strawberry Smoothie

I love starting my mornings with a fresh smoothie and this healthy strawberry smoothie is one of the best! You’ll definitely want to add this recipe to your collection.
  1. I usually use 1% milk in my smoothies, but you can use whatever milk that you like. It’s completely about your personal preference. You can even use almond milk or other milk substitutes.
  2. If you don’t have a blender or don’t love the one you have, you should definitely try out this Ninja blender. It’ll blend up your smoothie so smooth and I love that it has different speeds and blades going all the way up the blender to work faster and stronger.
  3. For an extra boost of nutrients, add a handful of fresh spinach to your smoothie! Even the pickiest eaters in your home won’t even notice the difference in taste but it will pack a ton of healthy vitamins and nutrients into your smoothie.
  4. The banana should add a bit of sweetness, but if your smoothie is too tart for your taste you can also add a few teaspoons of honey. A little goes a long way with honey so just a squeeze will help add the needed sweetness.

Can I use fresh fruit in my smoothies?

Sure! If you have fresh fruit that you’d like to use, you just have to be aware that fresh fruit will add quite a bit more moisture to your smoothie. To thicken it up and add that frozen element, you should add the same portion plus ½ cup of ice.

I personally prefer using frozen fruit but fresh will be just as fine if that’s what you prefer!

What are the benefits of a strawberry banana smoothie?

This healthy strawberry smoothie has tons of vitamins and nutrients! Strawberries are packed with vitamin C, folate, and potassium. They are also a great source of antioxidants.

Bananas are known for being full of potassium, but they also contain manganese and other nutrients. They are great for digestion and heart health!

Can I save any smoothie that I have left over?

Smoothies can be a little tricky to keep around, but if you need to save some you can! On its own, the smoothie will only last for about a day in the fridge.

I would suggest freezing the leftover smoothie in an ice cube tray and then you can pull out a few cubes and mix it into your next smoothie! Once frozen in cubes you can transfer into a freezer bag and they’ll be ready when you need them.

Making a smoothie is a great way to use up extra fruit in the fridge or freezer before it goes bad. We like to add some fruit juice as well for some extra sweetness.
