I have always been a lover of bread. Like I love bread! I could seriously eat bread all day long for every meal.

Beginner tips for using yeast
Baking with yeast can be so intimidating, at least that is what I used to think. I mean you are counting on a small packet of yeast to help you make the most beautiful rolls! So here are a few tips on using yeast to help you make the most perfect rolls!
- Always use Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast. Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast is a trusted brand in yeast for over 150 years. Not only that, but it gives it the homemade from scratch flavor everyone will love!
- The temperature of the water (or liquid) is so important! The temperature of the liquid should always be between 120 ̊ F -130 ̊ F. Be sure to follow the directions on the back of your Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast packet. I always use a thermometer to check the temperature. If your liquid is too hot it will kill the yeast.
- Expired yeast. You always want to check your Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast and make sure that it is not expired. Fresh yeast helps your homemade rolls to rise to perfection!
Garlic Parmesan Rolls
These garlic parmesan rolls are a family favorite in our home. Every time we are making homemade rolls, the kids always beg for these easy garlic parmesan rolls.
Ingredients for Garlic Parmesan Rolls
2 to 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 (2-1/4 tsp.) packet Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk (whole, 2%, 1% OR skim)
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Garlic Parmesan Butter Topping:
2 Tablespoons melted butter
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried parsley
2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Directions for Easy Garlic Parmesan Rolls
In a large mixing bowl, add ¾ cup of flour, sugar, Fleischmann’s® RapidRise yeast, salt, and garlic. Stir to blend this together.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, add the milk, water, and butter. Microwave on HIGH in 15-second increments. You will want this to be very warm, but not hot! The butter will not be 100% melted and that is okay.
You want to make sure that this mixture reaches between 120 ̊F-130 ̊F because anything hotter will kill the yeast. It is best to check this with a thermometer.
Once you have the mixture to a temperature between 120 ̊F-130 ̊F you will then add it to the flour mixture.
With an electric mixer, beat together the dry mixture and the wet mixture on medium speed. Be sure to scrape the bowl occasionally while mixing.
Add ¼ cup of flour and beat for another 2 minutes on high speed.
Continue to stir in a ¼ cup of flour at a time of the remaining flour (1 to 1 ¼ cups) until the dough forms a ball.
Next, sprinkle your counter with flour and knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic and springs back when pressed. This will take about 6 to 8 minutes. To see if the dough is ready lightly press 2 fingers into the dough if it bounces back then it is ready to rest.
Cover your dough with a towel and let rest for 10 minutes.
Once the dough has risen, cut the dough into 12 equal pieces.
Then, take these pieces and shape them into round balls with your hands.
Grease an 8 inch round pan and place your dough balls in the pan.
Place your pan in a warm area and cover with a towel and let the dough rise for about 30 minutes, or double in size.
Once your garlic Parmesan rolls have doubled in size, preheat the oven to 375ºF and cook for 20 minutes or golden brown.
Remove and let sit on a cooling rack in the pan.
How to Make Garlic Parmesan Butter Topping
While the garlic Parmesan bread is rising, grab a bowl and mix together melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
Once the rolls have been removed from the oven brush or drizzle the garlic herb butter onto the rolls and then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Don’t separate the rolls until the butter has set on top of the rolls.
Once the butter has set on the garlic parmesan rolls, then remove from pan.
To do this, run your knife around the edge and then invert on the wire rack.
Once separated, you can top with additional garlic herb butter if you would like!
There you have it! Super simple Garlic Parmesan rolls done so fast thanks to Fleischmann’s® RapidRise® Yeast!
