Mini Deep Dish Pizzas

If your kids are anything like mine, they would love to eat pizza for every single meal. We started having Pizza and Movie Nights every Friday just so our kids’ love for pizza could be satisfied!

I don’t always feel like preparing a whole pizza and ordering out can get expensive after a while, so I started looking at different ways to make pizza and came across this delicious and EASY recipe for mini deep dish pizzas. I tried it out for our last movie night and it was a hit with the kids PLUS it was so quick and easy to prepare.

We’ve now added this amazing recipe right along-side our other favorite pizza recipes. My kids love these pizza tortilla wraps and I love how easy they are to make and that my kids can help make them! And let’s not forget one of our very favorites: homemade air fryer pizza rolls that are so fast and easy, you won’t even feel like you’ve spent any time cooking!

Personal Deep Dish Pizzas

This is hands-down the EASIEST way to make deep dish pizzas. And it is so easy to have a variety of toppings so that every member of your family can personalize their pizza to their liking! Or double or triple this recipe and use it for your kid’s next birthday party! Your guests are sure to devour them in no time!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mini Pepperoni
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough
  • ¼ cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • Non-stick cooking spray

How To Make Mini Deep Dish Pizzas

Don’t forget to download the full printable recipe below so you can print it out and use it whenever you feel like making this delicious recipe!

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Spray each of the cavities of the cupcake tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Remove crescent roll dough from container. Do not separate dough or roll out.
  • Slice the dough into 12 equal sections.
  • Press the dough slices into the bottom of each of the 12 cupcake tin sections.
  • Add a small amount of pizza sauce.
  • Add cheese.
  • Add mini pepperoni.
  • Add more cheese on top of pepperoni.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes. 
  • Serve and enjoy immediately.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Only fill the cupcake tin about ½-¾ of the way full with pizza toppings so that the dough has space to rise without spilling over.
  • Mix it up with the flavors! Add some ground italian sausage or veggies to the pizza to make it a little extra!
  • Don’t be afraid to change up the pizza toppings completely! Use alfredo sauce in place of a red sauce and then add small chunks of grilled chicken breast and sundried tomatoes for toppings for a unique and delicious deep-dish pizza experience.
  • Looking to add some more flavor? Experiment with a variety of spices and seasonings! Add some garlic powder and basil to the sauce or sprinkle some cumin seed on top of the pizzas before baking. 

Storage

These mini deep dish pizzas are best when eaten after preparing. If you have leftovers (which you probably won’t!), store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
