Must-Have Bath Toys
My toddler loves bathtime! It is so important in our home because she knows that it is time to start settling down for the night.
Magnetic Bath Boats These boats are some of our favorites! The kids love to link them together and drive them all around the tub! My favorite thing is they never get water inside of them so they never ever get mold in them like other toys! Of course, toddlers love rubber ducks too, but they always seem to fill with water. Then you try to get all the water out and you can’t which turns into a bacteria growing machine! Yuck! But guess what? If you use a hot glue gun to fill to glue over the hole and let it dry no water gets inside allowing the rubber ducks to last a whole lot longer! And you won’t be growing mold either! It’s a win all around for everyone!
The next thing that is a must-have for toddler bedtime is a cozy pair of Pajamas, especially in the wintertime! Talie loves her Carters footies! She gets so excited to put them on. If I let her she would live in these things all day long! We also slip her into a Pull Up for bedtime to make sure she gets a good night’s sleep. The last thing you want is your toddler waking up in the middle of the night because they had an accident. We just put pull-ups on our Amazon Subscriber list so we never run out! It’s perfect!
Talie has major hair tangle problems. In fact, sometimes they are so bad that I used to not even brush her hair all the time. But, I searched high and low and finally found a detangler that works! We no longer have crying fits when it is time to brush her hair after baths or in the morning. If your kids have major tangle issues grab yourself a bottle or two of this! It works!
After we brush her hair we read a couple of stories! She loves to read! So, of course, she always tries to find a way for us to read more and more! She loves these books! In fact, we have not found one yet she doesn’t love!
Brushing Teeth and Bathroom
After stories, it is brushing teeth and using the bathroom time. We let her pick her favorite toothbrush at the store to make brushing fun for her! We then sit on the potty right before bed to prevent her from asking to go 5-minutes after we tuck her in.
We then wash hands… AND this is what I have been so excited to share the most with you! Have you heard of Soap Caps? Soap Caps fit over most standard soap pump nozzles and when you push them down to get the soap out it lights up and begins playing music for 20 seconds! So kids know just how long to scrub their hands for! This helps eliminates all kinds of germs because are having fun scrubbing!
Off to Bed Bedtime Must-HavesAfter brushing teeth, going to the bathroom and washing our hands with Soap Caps it is off to bed. For most toddlers, they are “afraid of the dark”. We bought a simple night light for her room and for the hallway. This has saved from going to put her to bed so many times! We say prayers, sing a song and tuck her into the most soft comfortrable sheets we have found. Then we give her some of her favorite stuffed animals give kisses and hugs and let her dream until morning!
