My Favorite Pork Marinade

I’ve been toying around with my steak marinade recipe lately because I knew the flavors would taste just as great as a pork marinade. And I was so right!

With only 6 ingredients, I’m willing to try anything! But I couldn’t believe how mouthwatering my pork was when I used this marinade.

I’ve tried plenty of other pork recipes, but I don’t think I’ll ever go back after trying this one!

You could use this as a pork chop marinade, a pork loin marinade, or even used it over a roast! It’s got a little spice from the mustard, savory saltiness from the soy sauce, and a little vinegar pop from the Worcestershire sauce.

It’s ready in minutes so all you need to do is let your meat marinate in it for a few hours and you’re all set.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • It’s likely that your bag will hold up fine in the fridge, but you may want to put it on a plate just in case. If any marinade or pork juices happen to leak out you won’t want to worry about disinfecting your whole fridge!
  • If you want a seriously no-stress meal, I love making this pork marinade in the morning, and then around lunch time adding my marinated pork to a slow cooker on low. By dinner time I have the juiciest yummy pork with almost no preparation! It’s perfect for busy days!
  • You can use either low-sodium or regular soy sauce for this recipe. I usually keep regular soy sauce on hand and it works great, but if you use low-sodium you may want to add a teaspoon of salt or your favorite all-purpose seasoning to add a little more flavor.

Storage

Store your cooked pork in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 4 months. Either way, keep it in an airtight container!

If you want to make your marinade ahead of time you can, just keep it in the fridge until you are ready to use it!

How do I know how long to marinate my pork?

I don’t know what it is about pork, but I have such a hard time getting it tender! This pork chop marinade is a big help, but it also is important to get the right timing for marinating.

The basic rule of thumb is that different cuts of meat need different times. For a pork tenderloin, you may only need an hour. For pork chops, you may need a couple of hours. For a pork loin, perhaps you’ll need the full 4 hours.

And make sure to use a thermometer when cooking your meat to get it the perfect done-ness!
