Y’all know how much we loved the charcuterie boards, but will the Jarcuterie trend overtake it? We think it will soon become the hit of the summer, especially for all your summer gatherings!

The New Summer Hit Jarcuterie

As we are heading into spring and summer we are all about wanting to gather and see friends and family again, but of course, we want to do it as safely as possible! Meet the new charcuterie boards, but individualized so everyone has their very own spread! It is the perfect appetizer to kick off the season!

What is Jarcuterie?

Jarcuterie is a fancy name for a cute individualized charcuterie board that fits in a jar. It is trending almost as fast as hot chocolate bombs did. (What will be next? Perhaps donuts? We think so!)

We know these are going to be a huge hit this summer, so we are excited to show you how easy they are to make!

Why We love Jarcuterie!

  • You can customize it to everyone’s liking!
  • Vegetarian? No problem, just omit the meat
  • Make it festive according to the season by adding a festive flair!
  • Easy to serve
  • No mess
  • Prepare ahead

What do I need to make Jarcuteries for my next gathering?

No matter what type of Jarcuterie you make you will need a jar or container to place your goodies in. Once you have that depending on if you are doing a sweet jarcuterie or a savory jarcuterie will depend on what you put inside.

Ingredients

For a savory jarcuterie the possibilities are endless! This is what we added to ours!

  • Cold Cuts- I used ham, turkey, and pepperoni
  • Crackers
  • Honey Roasted Nuts
  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Slice Cheese
  • Block Cheese

How to Make a Savory Jarcuterie Board

  • Cut the block cheese to the appropriate thickness and length for your cookie cutters to make the cheese designs.
  • Roll cold cuts and sliced cheese.
  • Layer the items inside of the jars
  • It was easy to add pretzel sticks last
  • Adding the nuts throughout helps hold everything in place
  • Serve and enjoy

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • Remember this is a single serving appetizer. You don’t have to make it crazy big. Keep it small
  • Adding layers and different heights make it aesthetically pleasing.
  • Add fruit or herbs for pops of color.
  • Use toothpicks to add pickles or fruit if you choose.
