This personalized spin on charcuterie boards takes all the fun of a charcuterie board and puts it into an individual serving that is easy and so cute! If you loved our savory jarcuterie, we know you’ll love this Sweet Jarcuterie just as much!

Charcuterie boards have been all the rage, but we think this one might just overtake that trend. With summer coming up, this might be just what you need for all your gatherings!

The New Summer Hit Jarcuterie

I know I’m not the only one looking forward to getting together with friends and family this summer. We are all looking forward to those big gatherings, and jarcuterie helps us do that as safely as possible! Instead of a communal platter, each person gets their own individual jar of treats! This is the perfect, easy dessert for any party or gathering!

And what better to serve with these indulgent desserts than a little taste of paradise with this tropical fruit smoothie? Nothing would go better (or be easier) than a summer jarcuterie with an amazing smoothie! We are sure you will agree!

What is Jarcuterie?

Jarcuterie is just like charcuterie, only it fits in a jar! These individual-sized servings make it so easy to serve appetizers or dessert to all of your guests! They also look so cute that you almost won’t want to eat them (but they are so delicious that you won’t be able to resist!).

How To Make A Sweet Jarcuterie Board

How To Make Chocolate Covered Strawberries

  • Melt milk chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second increments, stirring after each time. Be sure not to burn the chocolate!
  • Wash all strawberries and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Using half of the strawberries, hold by the leaves, dip them most of the way into the melted chocolate.
  • Place on parchment paper.
  • Allow to harden (about 1 hour) while you make other preparations.

How To Make Chocolate Striped Pretzels and Strawberries

  • Place the rest of the strawberries on parchment paper, about an inch apart.
  • Lay pretzel sticks and twists in one layer close together on parchment paper.
  • Melt candy melts according to package instructions.
  • Add candy melt to piping bags.
  • Using piping bags, create zigzag stripes over the strawberries and pretzels.
  • Add colored zigzags to the chocolate-covered strawberries if desired.
  • Add sprinkles if desired.
  • Let sit for about 25 minutes to harden.
  • Break pretzels apart in clusters to stand up in jars.

How To Make Candied Fruit

  • Mix one part water, two parts sugar in a saucepan or skillet.
  • Heat to a boil (do not allow sugar to crystalize!).
  • Skewer fruit or use toothpicks and submerge fruit into the syrup.
  • Dip in ice water immediately to harden the syrup in a crunchy glaze.

Assembling The Jarcuterie

Once all of the components of the jarcuterie are made, all that is left is the assembly! Perhaps one of the funnest parts of the whole process (besides eating), we’ve got a few tips to help make it so easy!

  • Start with the mini marshmallows to make a soft foundation for the rest of the ingredients. Layer them covering the bottom of the jar.
  • Add any other treats that you think will go well! You can add chocolate chips, chocolate-covered nuts, or any kind of candy to make this jarcuterie pretty and delicious!
  • Running out of space? Try skewering strawberries and pretzel twists and have them sticking out of the jars.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Tips Tricks And FAQs

  • When making the candied fruit, if the glaze does not turn crunchy, then the syrup wasn’t hot enough.
  • If you are planning on candying a lot of fruit, don’t try to do them all at the same time. They will turn into a giant clump of sugary fruit.
  • When it’s humid, the sugar may have a hard time setting. If this happens, pop them in the fridge to help them along!
