Taco Pizza rolls are the perfect combination of two great weeknight meals: pizza and tacos! These tasty taco pizza roll ups are the best busy-night meal or quick party snack.

We love a good taco Tuesday (my fish tacos are a favorite right now)! And of course, we can’t get enough of homemade pizza. But when we can’t decide between the two of them, these taco pizza roll ups are perfect!

Not to mention, they are so fast! My schedule is crazy in the evening so I need quick meals. These rolls are just a matter of fill, roll, and bake. You can even take them on the go!

Really, these yummy rolls are a no-brainer and perfect addition to your dinner rotation.

Taco Pizza Roll Ups Recipe

Meet your perfect busy night meal! These taco pizza rolls are so yummy and on the table in less than a half hour.

Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning 
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza crust 
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese

For topping (optional)

  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Sour cream
  • salsa

How to Make Taco Pizza Rolls

  • To make these taco pizza rolls, start by preheating the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Prepare a baking sheet by spraying it lightly with cooking spray. Set it aside.
  • Place your skillet over medium heat and add in the ground beef. 
  • Cook the beef until fully cooked through, then drain off any excess grease.
  • Add in the taco seasoning and water and cook again over medium heat until the sauce starts to thicken slightly. 
  • Remove the beef from the heat and let cool.
  • While the beef cools, remove the pizza dough from the package and unroll it on a flat surface.
  • Use a rolling pin to form the dough into a rectangle. 
  • Spoon the cooled taco meat over the dough, spreading it evenly over the whole rectangle. 
  • Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the taco meat.
  • Starting with the long edge of the dough, roll the dough tightly into a long roll. 
  • Use a sharp knife to slice the roll every inch to create about 12-15 slices.
  • Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  • Top the rolls with your choice of toppings and enjoy!

Tips Tricks and FAQs 

  • Be sure that you don’t overfill your taco pizza rolls with the taco meat and cheese or you’ll have some trouble rolling it up! You want your rolls to be full but not overflowing. 
  • You can use homemade pizza dough, but you’ll want to make sure that you roll it out pretty thin because homemade dough tends to puff up more than store-bought. And if you need a great homemade pizza dough recipe, I’ve got the best one too!

Storage
