I love Thanksgiving! It’s the perfect time of year to get together as a family and enjoy some delicious food together. But life can get a little hectic around the holidays, especially with Thanksgiving. As I am trying to cook all the food and just prepare myself for the holiday in general, it is nice to have something that will keep the kids entertained.

My kids loved the October Journal Prompts and the November journal prompts. So I wanted to give you some Thanksgiving Journal Prompts to add to the holiday fun! After some quiet time writing, it’s always nice to get everyone laughing with some fun games like a Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt or Thanksgiving Would You Rather.

It always gives me peace of mind knowing that journal prompts for kids are improving their writing skills while having fun and being creative. Grab your Thanksgiving Journal Prompts to inspire writing this fall season!

How to Use These Prompts

Use these Thanksgiving journal prompts to encourage your child or your students to write throughout the whole month of November. With over 50 prompts to choose from, your kids will be bursting with creativity as they write in their journal.

Simply print them out, laminate them for extra durability, and use them over and over again!

Pass out a card to each child. Give them a specific time to write about that prompt. Once the time is over, collect the printable cards and store them. If you want them to write for longer, you can give them a second card with a new topic.

Whenever you want to use them again, just pull them back out and pass them out. With 50 prompts, there is a new topic waiting each day for your child to write about.

Save the journal entries so you can look back at them year after year! It is always fun to look back and see what your kids wrote the year before. Plus you can track their writing progress!
