Directions for Turkey Cranberry Sliders:

  • First, you will want to preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  • Then you will want to line a 13×9 pan with nonstick foil, or spray it with cooking spray.
  • Next, you will want to separate your Hawaiian rolls. I know it is common to keep the rolls together in other types of sliders, but in these you definitely want to separate them. If you don’t the filling tends to fall out of them. Not only that, but the amazing garlic mustard can now drip down the sides of each turkey cranberry slider.
  • Once cut, place the bottom half of each roll in the baking dish.
  • Layer with the turkey, the cranberry sauce and cheese. Of course you can use canned cranberry for this recipe, but this cranberry sauce recipe is delicious!
  • Then, place the top half of the roll back on top of the turkey slider.
  • In a small bowl, you will then want to whisk together the melted bitter, mustard, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.

Tips and Tricks for making Turkey Cranberry Sliders

  1. These reheat best in the oven.
  2. Because of the fillings in these sliders, I found it best to separate the rolls before baking. It is common in other slider recipes to keep the entire slab of rolls intact, but with these, I found the filling fell out unevenly when cutting them just before serving. Cutting them before baking also helps that lovely garlic mustard to fall down the sides of each roll! Yum!
  3. Removing the foil at the end helps the butter topping crisp up nicely, so you don’t have greasy rolls. If you don’t mind the grease, you can add a little more before serving!
  4. If your family is not a fan of cranberry you can easily make these without cranberry sauce. The same goes for swiss cheese, another great option is cheddar cheese.
