  • Snip the tips of the piping bags and set aside.
  • Place a 1M or 2D piping tip inside of the 16 inch piping bag.
  • Place the colored bags of icing inside of the 16 inch bag and push them all down so that each of the colors is inside of the tip.
  • Squeeze with even pressure to make sure that all three colors are coming out together.
  • Place the unicorn wrappers around the cupcakes before icing.
  • Make a swirl on the top of the cupcakes. Add sprinkles and a topper if you would like.

Tips Tricks and FAQs

  • When prepping the 16-inch piping bag, the tip should be pushed down as far as it will go. The end should be cut right underneath the teeth of the tip.
  • Do not use more than three different colors of frosting as more than three will not fit inside of the 16-inch piping bag.
  • Not a fan of pre-made cupcakes and frosting? Feel free to make your own from scratch! These double chocolate cupcakes are to die for as are these banana cream cupcakes. Use your favorite recipe to truly customize this delicious and fun dessert!

Storage

These unicorn cupcakes should be stored in an airtight container and room temperature. They should last for up to 3 days. If using homemade cupcakes, follow storage guidelines for the recipe.
