Stay at Home Moms are Lazy Because We Don’t Shower
Yep! You heard it! We don’t always shower. There are some mornings we wake up well before our alarm to crying babies or toddlers who get out of bed too early. Thus our morning gets off to a rough start. By the time it’s 7 am we have already solved 19 problems and made lunches for everyone to take as they head off to school.

At that moment it is time to get the toddlers and babies breakfast as our daily chores begin around the house. We have good intention to exercise during nap time and who wants to shower before they exercise? The baby goes to sleep and you start a load of laundry only to determine there are clothes already in the washer and dryer so you need to now fold them.
As you fold them your toddler asks you to sing to them and as you do you laugh and play. Now that the laundry is folded and ready to be put away, of course, it is snack time so you fix a quick snack. You quickly run into your room to exercise just as the baby starts to wake up…
You head to get the baby followed by a snack for him and then playtime…
Next thing you know it’s time to go pick up the kids from school and make dinner. And the rest of the day is history running to various extracurricular activities and then getting everyone off to bed. By the time the kids are in bed you flop on your bed and think to yourself, “I will try again tomorrow to take a shower.”
Stay at Home Moms are Lazy Because We Don’t Get Dressed and Put Makeup On
I went through a phase about 6 months ago when I didn’t put makeup on unless I was headed out for the day or to church. In fact, I would stay in my pajamas or get into new pajamas (after the days I showered) if I wasn’t going anywhere.
I know this crazy behavior screams Stay at Home Moms are Lazy. But isn’t it completely justified because really, who are we going to see? And honestly, our clothes will just end up stained anyways from the kids so we might as well stay in our PJ’s, right?
Stay at Home Moms are Lazy Because There Seems to Always Be a Mess
While this phrase may be true, what you don’t see is the mom picking up after her kids all day long 5 million times a day. You did not see her scrub the toilets with two little ones trying to “help” only causing a bigger mess. And when it’s finally clean the older ones come home from school and pee all over the clean toilet. Ugh! It literally never ends!
Quickly she spruces up the house and heads into the kitchen to make dinner. While she has her back turned to the little ones they decide to make another mess in the living room. Now we have the mess from dinner prep, pee on the toilet seat, and more toys scattered throughout the living room.

So of course to anyone who comes over they think stay at home moms are lazy because how could this mess happen in 2 minutes? All moms, of course, know how this happens!

Stay at Home Moms are Lazy Because They Don’t Eat
Moms have good intentions of eating 3 meals a day, of course! But we all know that life happens. We make breakfast for the kids and we sit down to feed them. After we feed them and clean up we head off to start the load of laundry. In our minds, we remember cooking something in the toaster so we must have eaten!
Lunchtime the same thing occurs we make sandwiches and we all sit down at the table. Then the toddler wants milk and an apple cut up. By the time you get that already the baby is done and you need to clean them up. You manage to maybe eat one or two bites, but then motherhood calls.

At dinner, you sit down at the table as a family. You serve everyone what they need. You put some food on the tray for the baby and cut the toddler’s food up. At which point the baby promptly bathes himself in spaghetti… Off to the bath, he goes.
By the time bath time is over everyone is done and it’s clean up time. There you find your half-eaten sandwich in the kitchen from lunch, your Eggo still in the toaster from breakfast, and your cold dinner on the counter. You don’t feel like sitting by yourself at the table so you just clean up and think to yourself, “I’ll eat something tomorrow.”
