7-inch Oreo Cookie Crust Recipe

20 cookies

4 TBS melted butter

1 TBS sugar

¼ tsp salt

How to Make your Oreo Cookie Crust

First, you will want to use a food processor to crush your Oreo cookies.

Once they are crushed, add your sugar and your salt.

Then add your melted butter to the dry ingredients. You can mix this by hand, but I usually just add it to my food processor to finish the mixing and blending.

Once mixed, dump it into your greased pan.

Press the Oreo cookie crumbs into the pan. I usually use the bottom of the glass to press them into place and make sure they get in the corners and are even.

Bake this in the oven at 325 degrees for 12 minutes.

Let cool.

Oreo Pie Crust Amounts

Tips and Tricks for Making Oreo Cookie Crusts

  1. When using Oreo cookies for this chocolate pie crust you do not need to remove the filling. The filling actually helps bind the crust together.
  2. You can adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe or omit it, I like to add a little bit in as the recipe calls for.
  3. If you don’t want to bake your crust you can freeze it instead. Place it in the freezer for 20 minutes prior to adding your filling to help it bind together.
  4. Use a glass cup with a flat bottom to help press the crust down in the pan. This helps it get packed nicely into place.
  5. Don’t feel like a chocolate Oreo cookie crust, make a golden one with golden Oreos. The possibilities are endless.
  6. Use regular Oreos, not the double stuffed ones when making your oreo cookie crust.

Can I still make this crust without a food processor?

If you don’t have a food processor you can still make this cookie crust. Just place your cookies in a Ziploc bag, seal it up and gently roll and smash with your rolling pin.

Making these chocolate cookie crusts are so easy and so delicious that you will never go back to buying store crusts again!
