4th of July Scavenger Hunt Printable

Happy Independence Day! My family and I love celebrating the 4th of July with our friends and family. Each year, we all get together and have a barbecue with swimming and games for everyone!

While we’re waiting for fireworks at the end of the evening, we love to pull out our 4th of July Charades and our 4th of July Bingo game. Our giggles and laughs echo throughout the neighborhood as we act out the keywords and shout BINGO. It gets very silly and we have a blast!

I have found that kids LOVE scavenger hunts! They love searching for the objects and get so excited once they find them. Kids typically make it a competition and split into teams.

Our 4th of July Scavenger Hunt is perfect for your holiday plans. It requires almost no setup! Most of the objects on the list are typically out and about during the holiday.

We like to make it interesting by giving away little prizes, such as these 4th of July temporary tattoos or glow sticks

It encourages the kids to get out there and participate in the game. My older kids will team up with the little ones to help them find objects- it’s super sweet!

Why Scavenger Hunts?

Scavenger hunts are such fun for kids! They get to go out and explore by finding new objects.

One of the things we love about scavenger hunts is the fact that you can do them for pretty much any occasion. They’re so simple to make and create long-lasting fun for your family. They encourage your kids to get out of the house and experience new things! Whether you are looking for an outside scavenger hunt, an alphabet scavenger hunt or a zoo scavenger hunt we have a hunt for you!

Benefits of Scavenger Hunts

Did you know that kids can improve their observation and recognition skills through scavenger hunts?

It’s true!

Scavenger hunts are great activities to promote developmental growth.

For me, the absolute best part of the scavenger hunt is the end. My kids will run up to me with such excitement and tell me all about the things that they found. They are so proud of themselves and I can’t help but be proud of them too!

How to Play 4th of July Scavenger Hunt

Start by making a list of objects to find. Or you can grab your free 4th of July Scavenger Hunt Printable. Download and print as many copies as you want!

You can split your group into teams, let everyone work together, or have them participate individually.

We prefer to split into teams! It lets us work together while still having a little competition.

Give a copy of the 4th of July Scavenger Hunt to each team, then send them on their way!

You can either mark off the objects you find with a pen or use a camera to snap a pic.

We have a lot of fun when we have to take selfies with the objects in the scavenger hunt. It can get so silly and creates some lasting memories!

The first team back with all the objects found are the winners or within a certain amount of time. We like to give out prizes to everyone who finishes, but the winners will always get bragging rights as well!

  1. Help!
Between “scroll down…” and “fill in the form above…” there is NO form.

Also, the 4th of July bingo goes to a “404 Error” rather than showing a download.
