Who needs a campfire when you can make Frozen Smores?! This treat is everything you love about s’mores in an icy bite that is sure to cool you down on a warm day.
Frozen Smores Recipe
I’ve just found my new favorite summer treat… Frozen Smores! It’s a frozen layered bar dessert with all the flavors of the classic campfire treat.
When I say that this recipe is easy, I mean it is so easy even my kids could make it! It’s just the tiniest bit of mixing, spreading into a dish, and letting the whole thing freeze before cutting your frozen smores dessert into bars.
And I love that it’s less messy! No matter how many wipes I do, my kids always end up covered in chocolate and sticky marshmallows when we make s’mores around a fire.
Thank goodness when we make these all the chocolate marshmallowy goodness usually makes it into their mouths!

Tips Tricks and FAQs
- Here’s the best way I found to store my frozen smores! I like to make my smores up and then wrap them individually in plastic wrap. I then wrap each in a layer of aluminum foil and place them right in the freezer. My kids will be grabbing them all summer long and they stay so fresh like this!
- I am loving my glass dishes that have their own lids! They are such a big help when I need to cover something to chill or store. Aluminum foil works great for freezing these bars, but if you don’t have a 9×13 pan with a lid yet I highly recommend it!
- You’ll want to work quickly while you are cutting your layers because the heat of your hands and the room will likely cause them to melt a little bit. If you want perfectly squared edges, make sure your layers are completely frozen before slicing, and consider working with only half of the pan at a time.
Storage
Store the leftover frozen smores in a sealed container in the freezer for up to 4 months.
