Whenever my kids come to me looking for something to do, or I feel like they are spending way too much time in front of a screen, I love to send them on a scavenger hunt

It’s a great way to get them moving and playing, while exercising their creativity and observation skills at the same time.

They especially love it when we make it competitive! We often split into teams and time ourselves, or decide on a reward or prize for the winner.

My family has happy memories of doing our picture scavenger hunt and our camping scavenger hunt, so I know this alphabet scavenger hunt will become a new favorite!

They’ll love thinking outside of the box as they look for unique and creative items that start with each letter.

I especially love that it takes very little effort to start playing! All we need is this alphabet scavenger hunt printable and we are ready to go!

It’s so easy to start an Alphabet Scavenger Hunt! All you need is our alphabet scavenger hunt printable for each player or team, and you are ready to go!

First, decide whether you will play individually, in pairs, or in teams. Give each person, pair, or team a copy of the Alphabet Scavenger Hunt list.

Look around your home or classroom for things that start with each letter of the alphabet. You can have each player check off each letter as they find each item, collect the items that they find, take pictures, draw a picture or write it down. The choice is yours!

The first person or team to find all of the items wins! Or, if you have set a time limit, the person or team who has found the most items wins!
