Fun Minute to Win it Games for Teens
Fruit Chew
You will need:
- Fruit-by-the-foot style fruit roll-ups
How to play Fruit Chew
- Give each play a fruit roll-up
- Players unroll the roll-up and place one end in their mouth.
- On a signal, players start to chew and pull the roll-up into their mouth with their teeth and lips. No hands allowed!
- The first player to pull the entire fruit roll-up into their mouth wins!
Penne Pickup
You will need:
- Uncooked spaghetti noodles
- Uncooked penne pasta
- Disposable plates and bowls
How to play Penne Pickup
- Give each player a plate of penne pasta, a bowl, and a single spaghetti noodle
- Players place the spaghetti noodle into their mouths
- Players have one minute to move as much penne pasta as possible from their plate to their bowl using only the spaghetti noodle in their mouths
Balloon Pop Race
You will need:
- Balloons
- Tape
How to play Balloon Pop Race
- Blow up several balloons and tape them to the floor in two lines
- Players race to see how many balloons they can pop in under a minute!
- For an extra challenge, require players to pop the balloons by sitting on them!
Dice Stacker
You will need:
- Craft sticks
- 4-sided dice, at least 5
How to play Dice Stacker:
- Players hold a craft stick between their teeth
- In one minute, they must stack 5 dice on top of each other at the end of their stick
Balloon Juggle
You will need:
- Balloons – three of the same color for each player
How to play Balloon Juggle
- Give each player 3 balloons of the same color
- Players must keep all three of their balloons up in the air for an entire minute!
- If a balloon falls to the ground, that player is out
Pretzel Fishing
You will need
- Small snack pretzels
- Gummy worms
- String
How to play Pretzel Fishing
- Tie a gummy worm to a short length of string.
- Dip one end of the gummy worm in water
- Fill a bowl with pretzels
- Players hold the end of the string and try to “catch” a pretzel with the moistened worm
- Players must then eat the pretzel they have caught, without using their hands
- The player who eats the most pretzels in one minute wins
Toothpick Writing
You will need
- Toothpicks
How to play:
- Give each player a pile of toothpicks
- Players must spell as many 3-letter words as they can with the toothpicks in one minute. Breaking the toothpicks is not allowed
- Whoever has the most words wins!
Tweezer Race
You will need
- Tic Tacs or other very small candy
- Tweezers
- Cups
How to play Tweezer Race
- Place a bowl of Tic Tacs on one side of the room and an empty cup on the other end of the room
- Players race to carry Tic Tacs one at a time across the room with the tweezers and deposit them in the cup
- If a player drops their Tic Tac, they can pick it up and continue but they must use the tweezers!
- Player or team that has moved the most Tic Tacs after one minute wins.
Dice Math
You will need:
- Several pairs of dice
- Pencils
- Paper
How to play Dice Math
- Give each pair of players a pair of dice, a piece of paper and a pencil
- One player on each team rolls the dice over and over again
- The other player records the number of each roll (if the player rolls a 2 and a 4 their partner would write down a 6)
- Whichever team has the highest overall total at the end of one minute wins!
Ping Pong Hop
You will need:
- 10 Empty soda cans
- 5 Ping-pong balls
How to play Ping Pong Hop
- Line the soda cans up on the table in two rows, with each pair of cans touching each other
- Place a ping pong ball on the top of one can per pair
- Players must blow each ping pong ball from the top of one can to the other, without it falling off!
- Players who successfully hop all 5 ping pong balls in one minute get a point.
LEGO Wizard
You will need:
- Legos
- Printed instructions for a simple LEGO build
How to play LEGO Wizard
- Give each team a pile of LEGOS (make sure they have all the pieces they need) and a set of instructions
- The team that finishes their LEGO creation in under a minute wins!
Shoe Kicker
You will need:
- A table
- Shoes
How to play Shoe Kicker:
- Players stand 10 feet away from a table and take their shoe off so that only their toes are still inside
- Players have one minute to kick their shoe off their foot and have it land on the table. If the shoe falls off, they have to try again!
Penny Stacker
You will need:
- 1-2 rolls of pennies
How to play Penny Stacker
- Give each player 25 pennies
- Players have one minute to stack all 25 pennies using only one hand
Pom Pom Catapult
You will need:
- Plastic spoons
- Plastic cups
- Pom poms
How to Play Pom Pom Catapult
- Place plastic cups on one end of the table
- Players must use their spoons to launch pom poms one at a time across the table and into the cups
- The player who gets the most pom poms into a cup after one minute wins
Marshmallow Chat
You will need:
- Large marshmallows
- Cards with words or phrases written on them
How to play Marshmallow Chat
- Have one player on each team place several large marshmallows in their mouth
- Give this player the cards with words on them
- The player has one minute to try to get their team to guess as many words as possible
LEGO Tower
You will need:
- LEGO blocks
How to play LEGO Tower:
- Give each player a handful of LEGOs
- Players have one minute to build the tallest tower, but they can only use one hand! Holding onto the tower is not allowed.
Rubber Band Guns
You will need:
- Rubber bands
- Empty soda cans
How to Play Rubber Band Guns:
- Stack the empty soda cans into a pyramid at the end of a table
- Players stand 10 feet away and shoot rubber bands at the cans
- Players who knock down all 10 cans in under a minute get a point!
Candy Toss
You will need:
- Plastic cups
- Candy
How to Play Candy Toss:
- Divide players into pairs and have them stand 10 feet apart
- One player is given a cup and the other a bowl of candy
- Players have one minute to toss one candy at a time into the other player’s cup
- Whichever team has the most candy in their cup after a minute wins
Penny Hose
You will need:
- Pennies
- Pantyhose
How to Play Penny Hose
- Place a penny into each foot of a pair of pantyhouse
- Players will place one hand into each leg of the hose and try to get the pennies out!
- Players are not allowed to use their hands to bunch up the panty hose in order to get to the pennies
- Don’t forget the one minute time limit!
Nut Stacker
You will need:
- Metal nuts from the hardware store
- Chopsticks or wooden skewers
How to Play Nut Stacker
- Give each player a chopstick or wooden skewer with 5 metal nuts threaded onto it
- Players have one minute to slide the nuts off of the stick and into a neat stack using only one hand
Pencil Trick
You will need:
- Pencils
How to Play Pencil Trick:
- Give each player a pencil
- Players will place the pencil on the back of a flattened hand
- Players will flip their hand around and try to catch the pencil
- After each successful catch, players will add another pencil to their hand
- Players who catch the largest amount of pencils at the end of one minute win a point
Full of Hot Air
You will Need:
- Balloons
- Plastic cups
How to play Full of Hot Air
- Fill the table full of plastic cups
- Give each player a balloon
- Players will blow up their balloon and then they have one minute to use the air from their balloon to knock as many cups off of the table as they can.
Ping Pong Ninja
You will need:
- Ping pong balls
How to play Ping Pong Ninja:
- Give each player a ping pong ball
- Players drop the ball from a height of 6 feet
- Every time the ball bounces, players must swipe their hand underneath it without touching it.
- The winner is the player who gets the most swipes under their ping pong ball without touching it.
