Truth Or Dare

Truth or Dare is a classic game that has been around since the early 1700s!  Friends will take turns asking each other if they would like to answer the truth question or do a dare. The person must then answer a question truthfully, or they can take a dare if they do not want to answer the question.  

There are many variations of how to play truth or dare. You can write the truth or dare questions on a piece of paper, and each person can draw one out and answer the question, or you can roll dice and assign truth or dare to even or odd numbers. Would You Rather is another fun game that can be played with old and new friends. You will take turns asking each other questions that the person has to choose between. Questions include whether they would rather drink milk or water for the rest of their lives. This a good game to play to get to know new friends, or if you have been friends for a while, see if you can guess what your friend will pick. Each person will have a set of questions that they will fill out, and then they will switch papers and see who knows the most about the other friend. Another way to play is to ask questions rapid-fire style to see who can answer the questions the fastest.

21 questions can be played with just two people but is more fun with a big group of friends. Two Truths and a Lie

The point of the game Two Truths and a Lie is that each person comes up with two truths and one lie about themselves. Each person will then take turns telling their truths and one lie, and the group will then decide which thing about the person is the lie. This is a fun way to get to know some things about friends you may not have known before.  The examples that you can give can range from silly to serious and in-between. The more outlandish the truths and the lies, the more fun the game can be.

Never Have I Ever

Never Have I Ever is so fun to play with a large group. A moderator asks a question that each person can answer that they have either never done the thing the question is asking, or they can indicate that they have! 

You may be surprised at the things your friends have done! You can make I have or have not paddles for people to hold up, or you can simply have the group raise their hands if they have done the thing in question. Either way, getting ready for some fun and maybe a few surprises!

Put a Finger Down is becoming more and more popular. This game is similar to Never Have I Ever in that each person indicates if they have done what the question that is being asked.

Each person holds up all ten fingers and will put down a finger for everything they have done. This game is fun to play at parties or sleepovers because it is easy and requires no set-up; all you need are some questions and your fingers. You are then set to play the fun and easy get-to-know-you game.

Fact or Fiction

Fact or Fiction is a fun word game that is played by having friends guess if a statement about another person is fact or fiction.  To play, each person in the group comes up with several statements about themselves that can be fact or fiction. Then the group takes turns reading the questions and then decides if the statement is fact or fiction. You can play with just personal statements or mix in general facts about anything.

Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader tests the knowledge of your friend group! These questions are broken up into different categories, such as math, science, history, and music. Things is a question game that my friend group loves to play! You have a question that everyone in the group answers, and then one person reads all the answers out loud, and then the group goes around in a circle and tries to guess the answers to the person who wrote it. There is a lot of laughter and fun in deciding who wrote the answers.

Yes Or No

Yes or No is a game that is a quick and fun way to get to know friends you may not know as well as you would like. Each person takes turns answering questions with yes or no answers. You can use any yes no questions that you would like. These questions are perfect for seeing what your friends think and will help you get to know them quickly!

Guess Who?

This game is the real-life version of the board game guess who? The more people, the better the game is! One person will pick a friend out of the group as the person who others are trying to guess (Obviously don’t tell anyone!) All the friends (including the one that people are trying to guy) ask questions to try and find out who is is. You could ask, does this person like to read, or does this person have curly hair? Each question will bring you closer to deciding who it is the person had chosen. It is really funny game to play with others.

All About Me

All about me lets you brag a little about yourself. Each friend will get a list of questions they can answer and then take turns going through the list to see who may know the answer to the questions. This game can be played to see who knows the most about their friends, or you can simply fill out and answer the questions so that you can get to know your friends through some fun questions.

Word Chain

In Word chain, it will have you thinking on your toes! Choose one person to start the game and think of one word to say. It can be any word. The next player needs to choose a word that starts with the last letter of the previous word. The next player, after that, then picks a word from the last letter. For example, if the first player chooses the word radio, the next person needs to choose a word starting with the letter O, like an octopus. The next player’s words will need to start with the letter S. To make the game harder, choose a time limit on how long the player has to pick a word. Pro tip- pick some words that are hard to spell or will throw off the competition by being perplexed with the word.

Family Feud

Family Feud is the perfect game for friends who love a little competition. Break your friends up into two even teams and take turns playing through the rounds of family feud. You can purchase the game or app or create your own questions and answers to customize your gaming experience. Ask a question and have the other team write down their answers; if the other team can guess the answers, then they are rewarded points. The team with the most points wins!

Who’s Most Likely To is a fun game to see who in your friend group is most likely to do something. A player will ask a question such as who in their friend group is most likely to fall asleep first at a sleepover. The group will then write down their answer to the question and then share it with the group. Questions and Answers is a fun game with hilarious results! Each person playing starts by asking a question such as what is at the end of a rainbow? Everyone then puts their questions in a bowl to be mixed together. Players then choose a question to answer, making sure they don’t get their own. After everyone answers the question, the person chosen to go first reads the question they have. The player to their left then answers the question with the answer they wrote down to their own question. Play proceeds around the table in the same manner until all the questions are answered.

Trivia Questions

Trivia is another game for friends who love a little competition. Grab some trivia questions to test the smarts of your friends. You can play in groups or individually. Ask a trivia question, and the team or individual who buzzes in first gets a chance to answer the question. They get one point for a correct answer. In Where Do you Stand, things can get pretty heated! Individuals will choose between two different opinions. Be careful! This game can get pretty intense and can spark debates, such as which is better, vanilla or chocolate ice cream? In each round, someone will read a question, and each player has to choose a side. Do your friends think the toilet paper should be placed over or under? When asking questions, avoid controversial or serious topics to keep the game fun and lighthearted.

One Must Go

In the game, One Must Go, you will get to know your friend’s preferences making it a great question game to play with friends. There are not really rules and structure, more less formal to really get to know those you are playing with. 

To play, choose a category like foods then name 4 things that fall into that category. Everyone in the group then must choose one of the 4 things to eliminate forever. You then will have to defend your choice, expect debates and laughs as you play.

I feel

I feel is a game that hilariously asks how your friends are feeling. The point of the game is to ask how your friends feel about something, such as how they are feeling today. The friend then has to answer in actions; no words can be used. Each round, someone is asked how they feel about something or someone, and they have to act out how they feel. This game tests you and your friends’ acting skills. Break a leg because there are sure to be some laughs along the way.
