Trivia Games are my family’s favorite game for our weekly game night. My kids love to take turns choosing which topic to play. My daughter, the animal lover, always chooses Animal Trivia while my boys always choose something sports-related, like Football Trivia or Baseball Trivia.

I’m game to play any topic as long as my family is together and having fun, I’m happy! As my kids get older, it’s hard finding games that everyone enjoys. Trivia always surpasses everyone’s expectations!

One of the things I love most about trivia games is that people of all ages and interests can play together. Because you work together as a team, everyone has a chance to win.

Why I Love Trivia Games

I’ve always loved reading and learning new facts. When I was a child, I remember reading the entire Encyclopedia Britannica set my parents had one summer.

That was also the summer that I decided that my family needed a cat. I memorized the entire cat section of the Encyclopedia Britannica and spent the next few months spouting random cat facts to anyone who would listen.

Those facts were helpful when I played this Cat Trivia game with my kids! They were amazed at how much I knew about felines!

Playing trivia with my kids encourages a similar love of learning. We play whichever topics spark their interest. I know it was a hit when the kids still talk about things they learned days later!

How To Play Trivia

It only takes a few minutes to start playing and using these cat trivia quesitons. Gather your players and the list of questions, and you’re ready to have fun!

When everyone is ready, divide the players into teams. It doesn’t matter how many people are on the team; the more, the merrier! Just make sure that you have a good mix of skill levels and interests on each team to keep things fair.

Choose the first reader to get started. Don’t worry; the reader job switches players each round, so everyone gets a chance to play.

After the question is read, teams will race to be the first to answer the question correctly. The reader will judge who wins the round and give that team a point.

When the game is over, the teams will tally their points. Whichever team has the most points wins!
