From the cave paintings of the Ice Age to modern artists like Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso, art is all around us. That’s why this is the perfect topic for trivia! There is something that speaks to everyone, just like the infinite number of trivia topics.

My family is obsessed with Trivia Games. We each have our favorite topics, like National Park Trivia, Star Wars Trivia, or even Geography Trivia!

No matter which game we play, all of my kids want to join in the fun. It’s remarkable how my teenagers are willing to team up with my little kids to ensure that everyone has a good time.

Even though trivia game nights can get a bit competitive, my kids always end up laughing at the end. They love to keep the discussion going by looking up more facts and sharing them with each other.

Why I Love Trivia Games

I love a good competition. Throw in something productive, like trivia, and I’m sold!

As a mom, I want my kids to understand healthy competition and why it benefits them. It’s not just about winning or losing. When kids compete, they learn to trust their instincts, become team players, and gracefully make mistakes.

Trivia games offer all of those things and more! I love the educational aspect of trivia. Sometimes it is difficult to get my kids excited to learn. Trivia is great because we can choose whatever topics that spark our interests. Even if we don’t know the answer, that’s ok! It’s fun to learn new things about our favorite topics!

How To Play Trivia

Playing art trivia is easy! All you need to play trivia is a list of questions and answers! You can play by yourself or with a group. It’s up to you!

If you want to play in a group, gather your players and divide them into teams. Have each team pick a spokesperson to shout the answer.

When you’re ready to play, pick a person to read the first question. It doesn’t matter which team they come from; the reading job will rotate between teams each round.

After the question is read, the teams will quickly discuss their answers. The first spokesperson to correctly answer the question wins a point for their team.

There are several ways to decide when the game is over. Decide which way to play BEFORE the game has started!

  1. All of the questions have been answered.
  2. A certain amount of time has passed (i.e., 20 minutes per topic).
  3. One team gets a certain number of points.

Benefits Of Trivia Games

There are so many benefits to playing art trivia with friends and family.

  • Learning is fun for everyone! Who wouldn’t want to know that art was an Olympic event in the early 1900s?
  • Relationships are developed and deepened between players.
  • Kids can learn good sportsmanship under the mentorship of older players.
  • Kids can show off their smarts without worrying about being labeled as a nerd.
  • Families can create healthy traditions of spending time together.
