Outdoor Activities Toddlers Love
What kid doesn’t love bubbles? I know bubbles are a favorite in our home. My kids get so excited when we play with bubbles. With the Kidzlane Bubble machine, it allows the fun to never get interrupted by spilled bubbles or lost wands in bottles.
This bubble machine keeps the fun happening continuously with this fun bright dolphin shape with up to 500 bubbles per minute. I love the Kidzlane Bubble machine is so easy to use that even my toddlers can turn it on and off and refill it!
Toddlers love to climb and play on every surface possible! So why not set up an obstacle course for your toddler! Grab things out of the garage that your kids can climb on, jump over, crawl through and set up a small obstacle course. Your toddlers will love doing this over and over again!
Kids love getting wet. So let them play in the water! These water tables are perfect for toddlers. If you don’t want to invest in a water table another thing you can do is get two buckets and a big ol’ sponge and have your toddlers move water from one bucket to another! Easy cheap and tons of fun!
The other thing Tony loves to do is making a car wash for his cars! We take out his Hot Wheels cars and a small mixing bowl full of water and add a few drops of tear-free baby shampoo and he spends hours washing his cars. Talie even loves washing her tricycle and bike with some sponges.
There are many different ways to play with sidewalk chalk. We always have a bucket full of our favorite sidewalk chalk ready on the driveway for all the kids to gather and draw to their hearts desire.
Our favorites are drawing hopscotch squares.
Tony and Talie love hopscotch. They enjoy counting as they jump from square to square. To keep their interest I throw an object on a square and challenge them to do it while skipping that square. The giggles that come out of their little bellies are priceless.
The kids each take turns laying down and I draw the outline of their bodies. Once that is done it is fun to see them make their body into themselves.
Tic tac toe toddler style. Talie and I draw X’s and O’s in the squares and of course, she always wins! But what a great way to practice writing.

All toddlers no matter how old love drawing with chalk. From their name to squiggly lines to just random lines they love drawing!
Play in the Rain
Who says you can’t play outside when it’s raining? Put on the kid’s boots, and go stomp in the puddles and just have fun! All kids love playing in the rain!
Let’s be real, painting is messy. So give yourself a break from all the spills and take the paint outside. Paint on rocks, cardboard, or canvas. Painting outdoors is a win in our home. Use washable paint to keep your sanity (trust me)!
I am Going on a Toy Hunt
Kids love finding Easter eggs, so why not let them go on a toy hunt! I love to hide anything that the kid can easily find like a stuffed animal, a car, a ball, etc. and then they go hunt around the yard to find it.
Kids love cardboard boxes! So why not bring them outside and make airplane boxes! The kids pretend to be a pilot in their very own airplane and we pretend to travel all over the world!
Why not bring a favorite inside toy outside, with this piano mat! The kids love playing on this giant 6 foot piano mat playing their favorite songs, or just running back and forth on the mat. With 8 different instruments, your kids are bound to play a musical masterpiece in no time (if not there are 10 classical songs programmed in with just a touch of a button!) We seriously are in love with this piano mat!
With these 10 outside toddler activities, your toddler is sure to be begging to go outside having a blast this summer!
