What is bedwetting?
Bedwetting, or nighttime incontinence, is a struggle for many kids. First, before the age of 7, bedwetting should not raise too much concern. Many children take until the age of 7 to achieve full nighttime bladder control.

Why does bedwetting happen?
Wetting the bed at night has to do with not having complete control of the bladder while sleeping. Sometimes this can be caused by external factors but no one knows the exact reason for it.
Increased risk occurs when the child experiences stress and anxiety, have a family history, or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. A potty training alarm can help a child achieve a dry night.
How does a potty training alarm work?
A potty training alarm is placed in the child’s pajamas. Basically, it’s a moisture detector. Once moisture is detected, the alarm will trigger and wake your child.
For the first couple of weeks, you may be awakened by the alarm first. You will need to then wake the child to use the toilet. Once your child has routinely slept through the night dry for a few weeks, continue using the alarm for another couple of weeks.
