Tips and tricks for Buster Bar Brownies

  • Taking these to a party or friend’s house? I highly recommend getting some glass baking dishes with lids. They are such a good investment and make traveling with brownies, casseroles, and other dishes so easy and mess-free!
  • Testing to see if your brownies are done is simple with a toothpick, knife, or skewer. Just poke into the brownies and if the toothpick comes out clean they are ready to come out! Since this recipe has chocolate chips it may be a bit chocolatey, but you shouldn’t see any raw batter left on the toothpick if they are done.

Can I substitute other nuts?

You sure can! The salted peanuts do pair really well with this recipe, but if you have an allergy or just prefer other nuts you can put just about any other nut in this recipe.

You could go classic with walnuts, or try something different like almonds, macadamia nuts, or even hazelnuts!

Storage

If you checked out our tips and grabbed a baking dish with a lid, storage is super easy! Just put the lid on the dish and keep the whole thing in your fridge.

If not, just grab some foil, plastic wrap, or your favorite covering to seal in the freshness of these brownies and place them in your fridge. You can place the brownies in plastic bags as well, but these are sure to get a little messy with all those gooey toppings!
