As a mom, there are days that a harder than others. Today was a hard day. It’s what we do with those days that matter. What are you going to do with your hard day?

Today was a Hard Day
As I sit in my living room I look around my house… There are toys scattered all around the whole downstairs. My own bedroom has officially become another area for the two littles to play in during the day. I look at the kitchen table and there lies a TON of food that needs to be swept up. There are piles of laundry that need washing and even more that need to be folded. Colby’s room again looks like a bomb went off in there so I close the door as I walk by. Talie has decided to unload her entire dresser, toy chest, and closet onto her bedroom floor. My house is a disaster pretty much sums it up!
Today I became more frustrated than normal when the boys wouldn’t wake up for school on time. And Colby texted me letting me know I forgot to sign a form he needed for class. Today at Target Talie threw a Temper Tantrum because I said no to another cheap crappy $1.00 toy. Today I lost my crap when I should have calmly explained to my kids what they were doing wrong.
I feel overwhelmed today, more so than normal. I feel like no matter what I do it will never be enough. Days like this I just want hide in the corner and cry. You have these days too, right?
Today was a Hard Day
Today is a hard day. Moms are allowed to have hard days. It’s okay to have struggles. All moms have messy houses and deal with an occasional temper tantrum. It doesn’t make us bad moms. I mean honestly, there is no such thing as a “perfect mom”. So we just all try to be the best mom that we can be. We all have our struggles!
So rather than complain about messy rooms and dirty floors I am going to rejoice in them! Thank goodness we have food to eat. And bless my kids for the messes they make. Because the shrieks of joy that I hear as they play is music to my ears! Thank goodness I got to go to Target today and wander around in the store aimlessly after Talie stopping crying after 5 minutes! And thank goodness my husband has a good job that we were able to buy the clothes thrown around Talia’s room.
So, today let’s take a moment and be grateful for everything we have. Yes, we all have hard days and struggles. But at the same time, we have so much more.
What are you grateful for today?
