Book of Mormon Charades List

I’m pretty much always looking for creative Book of Mormon-themed activities. And since my family has been loving charades lately, I thought, why not make a Book of Mormon Charades List

Camping Charades, Space Charades and bible charades have been our favorite activities lately, so I just knew that my kids would love playing Book of Mormon charades.

And let me tell you… whether it’s for family home evening, a primary class lesson, youth activity, or anything else, this Book of Mormon stories charades game is such a treat! Plus, I’ve made some printable cards all ready to go so it’s even better.

In my opinion, there’s no wrong time for a game of charades! It’s so fun for all ages and groups, and I just can’t get enough of it. So combining that with teaching about the Book of Mormon is so fun.

Why I love this Book of Mormon Charades List

Grabbing a few terms from this Book of Mormon charades list is my new go-to activity. Here’s why.

Aside from the usual fun and silliness of family charades, making the Book of Mormon entertaining is also a great way to teach!

It won’t feel like you or your kids are learning, but as you act out Book of Mormon stories or characters, you’ll be amazed at how much you end up remembering and talking about.

Especially when we play as a family, it’s so special to see my kids associating the Book of Mormon with joy and a good time!

How to Play Book of Mormon Stories Charades

To play Book of Mormon stories charades, start by splitting into two or more teams. Place the charades list of terms in a bag or hat. You can find the download to free printable cards with all the terms below!

When it’s your team’s turn, have one selected person pick a charades term. Use a timer and set it for 1-5 minutes (depending on the age and other group factors).

Start the timer and have the selected person act out whatever is on the card. The team has until the timer runs out to guess what term the person is acting out! If they do guess correctly, the team gets a point.

You can play to a certain number of points or just play until you run out of terms! Whoever has the most points at the end wins.

Don’t Forget Prizes!

Having prizes for the charades winner is a must in my house! It especially helps my teenagers to know that if they win the game there’s some sort of prize waiting for them.

Some of my family-favorite prizes for Book of Mormon Stories Charades include:

Other Ways to Use Book of Mormon Stories Charades!

The great thing about this Book of Mormon Charades list is that it’s not exclusive to charades! Here are a few more fun ways that you can use them!

Play Book of Mormon Pictionary

Try using these terms to play pictionary! When you draw a term from the Book of Mormon charades list, use a paper or whiteboard to draw the term. If you have an easel it works even better so everyone can see!

The goal of the game is for your team to guess the drawing. The team that guesses the most before a timer runs out wins.

Use them to teach.

This Book of Mormon charades list is full of important people and stories from the scriptures!

You can pick a card to talk about each night for family scripture study, put them on cards and use them in primary lessons, and more!

Scripture Search

My family loves playing scripture search. All you need to do is pick a person or story from the scriptures and the first person to find it in the scriptures wins! It’s a simple game and especially great for older kids and teenagers.

Using this Book of Mormon charades list would be a great start to play scripture search as a family or group!

Reverse Charades

I have a whole post about reverse charades because it is so much fun! We can’t stop laughing every time we play. Reverse charades is essentially when a whole group acts out the term to one person instead of the opposite. It’s kind of chaotic but so great!
